Duration: Approx. 2 years or more depending on the program (please refer to the Application Guidelines for more details)

Outline of Eligibility: Degree: Bachelor's degree or higher / Age: born on or after April 2, 1987 (for the 2022 recruitment) / Study Area: the same field that the applicant has studied, or a related field / Citizenship: Bangladeshi

Departure Date: April or October 2022

Placement at University: Designated by MEXT, based on your admission or a letter of provisional acceptance you obtain from Japanese universities.

Selection Process:

1. Application Submission: To the Ministry of Education, Bangladesh
2. Documents Review
3. Examination (Japanese and English) 
4. 1st screening notification 
5. Obtain admissions or letters of provisional acceptance
6. 2nd screening notification

Undergraduate Students

Application for the MEXT 2022 Undergraduate Students Scholarship is already CLOSED.

Duration: Approx. 4-6 years depending on the program (please refer to the Application Guidelines for more details)

Outline of Eligibility: Education: High school diploma or higher / Age: 17-25 / Citizenship: Bangladeshi

Departure Date: April 

Placement at University: Designated by MEXT, based on your fields and subjects choices.

Selection Process:

3. Examination (Japanese, English, Mathematics and Science*) 
   *Only for applicants who choose Natural Science field

Specialized Training College Students

Application for the MEXT 2022 Specialized Training College Students Scholarship is already CLOSED.
 

Duration: 3 years (including one-year preparatory education in the Japanese language and other subjecgts due to be provided upon arrival in Japan. Please refer to the Application Guidelines for more details.

Outline of Eligibility: Education: Those who are enrolled in a postsecondary course at a specialized training college, or who are receiving preparatory education in Japanese language and other subjects prior to placement at the specialized training college. / Age: 17-25 / Citizenship: Bangladeshi

Application for the MEXT 2022 College of Technology Students Scholarship is already CLOSED.

Duration: 4 years (one-year preparatory Japanese language course, and then enrolled into the third year of the course at the college of technology and receive specialized education for three years). Please refer to the Application Guidelines for more details.
